Cardamom Cake is a moist cake with crumb topping and aromatic flavour of cardamom. The aroma of cardamom gives the cake a very delicious and unique taste of its sweetness and exotic flavour. Hope you like this recipe as you did like my previous recipe Potato Pancakes.
Ingredients For Cardamom Cake:-
Three Cups – All-Purpose Flour
Two Cups – Sugar
One Tablespoon – Baking Powder
Half Teaspoon – Salt
One Tablespoon – Cardamom
Three-Fourth Cup – Unsalted Butter
Two-Three Cup – Milk
Two Large – Eggs
One-Third Cup – Sour Cream
One Teaspoon – Vanilla Extract
Set oven to 350F.
Spray a square baking pan and line with parchment paper if you want to be able to lift it out for cutting.
Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cardamom in the bowl of a food processor and pulse to combine, You can do this step by your hand too if you like in a large mixing bowl.
Cut the butter in small pieces and add it to the bowl.
Pulse to combine, maybe about twenty pulses.
The mixture should be crumbly with the butter well distributed and in very small pieces. You can also do this by hand with a pastry cutter.
Measure out one cup of the mixture and set aside.
Whisk together the wet ingredients and mix with the dry until combined.
Spread the batter into the pan, and top with the reserved crumbs.
Bake for forty to forty-five minutes, until a toothpick, comes out clean.
Cut the Cardamom Cake into pieces and serve.
