Chicken Pie

Chicken Pie is an easy recipe simple and delicious, easy to made pie with the crusty outside and creamy chicken inside. Hope you like this chicken pie as you did like my previous recipe Baked Vegetables. 


  • Half Kilogram – Boneless Chicken(cooked and diced)
  • Two Cups – All-Purpose Flour
  • Three-Fourth Cup – Butter
  • One Teaspoon – Vinegar in an egg or One Fourth Cup Cold Milk
  • One-Fourth Teaspoon – Salt
  • One Teaspoon – Baking Powder
  • One Tablespoon – Egg(slightly beaten)
  • Two Cups – Milk
  • Two Tablespoon – All-purpose flour
  • One Tablespoon – Butter
  • One-Fourth Teaspoon – Black Pepper Powder


  1. Mix Butter, all-purpose flour, vinegar, egg, salt, and baking soda. Knead lightly into a soft dough and keep aside.
  2. Again Melt butter, add all-purpose flour, saute a little and add the milk very gradually, stirring vigorously all the time.
  3. Bring a boil, Lower the heat and simmer for one to two minutes, add the salt, black pepper, and chicken.
  4. Roll out a little more than half the dough And cover the base and the sides of the pie dish.
  5. Dust base with flour and fill it with the chicken mixture.
  6. Roll out the other portion of the dough, wet the edges, and cover the pie, pressing the edges together, to seal.
  7. Prick with a fork, glaze the surface with the beaten egg, or milk and bake in a 160 C pre-heated oven for about 45-60 minutes or until golden.
