Today is a special day, A sweet little young girl is celebrating her birthday today.
This must of course be celebrated properly. And what can’t be missing at a birthday party?Exactly, a lazy birthday cake – better said:  The Chocolate Johannisbeercake.

The next thing to do was to hire a Chef to help me make matching chocolate Johannisbeercake recipe, which I changed a little.
Together with my brethren, this great chocolate Johannisbeercake was conjured. When we baked it at first, it was a bit messy, but with the result we were both very happy.

Ingredients

  • 100 g soft butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 125 g Block chocolate
  • 150 g ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g flour
  • 3 Cocoa powder
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 500 g Currants
  • 50 ml Cassis
  • 400 ml Cream
  • 1 Package vanilla sugar
  • 1-2 Powdered sugar
  • Fat for the form

Instructions

  • Stir butter and sugar foamy. Separate the eggs and beat the proteins stiffly. Melt chocolate in the water bath and lift it under the butter cream together with the egg yolks. Then add the nuts and mix flour, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Lift this mixture together with the egg snow under the butter chocolate cream.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees at super-heat and grease the mold with oil or butter. Then add the dough into the mold and brush it smoothly, then in the oven for 40 minutes.
  • In the meantime, brush the currants and pick them off. Now beat the cream stiff together with the sugar and underlift the currants.
  • Let the finished cake cool. Then cut off a thin cover and crush it. Circa put a hand full of crumbs in the cream so that it becomes somewhat firmer. Spread the bottom with Cassis and spread the creamjohannisbeer mixture. Spread crumbs on top and finished!
