Equipment Required

  • Oven, Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 65 g flour
  • 65 g Powdered sugar
  • 3 Eggs (size M of which you only need protein)
  • 45 g Butter

Instructions

  • First you wash the apples and peel them. For this, carefully use a knife. You can place them on a cutting board and thoroughly peel them into thin slices so that they are preserved and easily bend without breaking. Alternatively, you can also take a plank.
  • Put the apple slices in the water bowl and add a proper shot of lemon juice so that they do not turn brown.
  • Probably your slices are too thick now and would break up during kinking. Therefore, before further processing, you should add the apples to the microwave for 2 – 5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the apple slices). Make sure they don’t get too hot. If the apple slices get a bit bent, you can get them out and continue.
  • Rolls out the leaf dough, cuts it through the length three times, so you get four long strips. This then divides her in the middle again transversely. The eight parts are now evenly mixed with the sugar-zimt mixture. As an alternative to sugar, you can add a leaf dough with some apple or jam before it is documented.
  • Now the apple slices are used. You should place it briefly on a kitchen cloth to dry it from water. Then you put the apple slices (approx. 5 – 6 slices per piece) in layers with the round side upwards on the pastry piece, so that only a small part protrudes. Then you fold the empty foliage pasture over the apple slices and roll it together to form a rose.
  • Press a bit and then place it in the greased or muffin plate.
  • The apple roses are now heated at 200°C circulating air for approx. 20 – 25 minutes
  • in the oven. Take notice of the recommended baking temperature and baking time of your foliage pastry and check out from 15 minutes that the apples do not get too dark at the top. At the end, you can dust the apple roses with some powdered sugar.
