What is Chai Latte Tea?

chai tea latte

Chai Latte or English known as Chai Tea Latte is black tea enriched with winter spices such as cardamom, carnations, ginger, and cinnamon. It is then served with foamed milk and sugar.
The tastes of creamy milk, sweet-aromatic spices, and spiced black tea come together to create a warm and cozy chai tea latte. It tastes great hot or cold and has become a popular coffee shop staple. Below is a summary of its main components:

Milk: For a richer flavor and creamier texture, whole milk that has been steamed is typically used.
Any kind of milk, dairy or non-dairy, can be utilized, but, based on dietary requirements.
The warm, foamy quality that is produced by steaming goes well with tea.

Sweetener: Sugar, honey, or maple syrup are frequent options for sweetness addition.
Sweetener is already present in certain premade chai tea concentrations.
Make sure the amount of sweetness is changed in order to suit individual tastes.

Changes:
You can add more spices to your chai tea lattes, including nutmeg, vanilla or black pepper.
For a caffeine boost, some coffee shops sell “dirty chai” variations that include an espresso shot.
For warmer weather, iced chai tea lattes are a most delightful choice.

That’s why I’ll show you how to prepare this recipe at home in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • Two bags of chai tea
  • one cup of water
  • One cup of milk (vegan or non-vegan.)

  • half a teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg (ground)
