Sandwich Mania – Vegetable Sandwich

It’s a Sunday, late rising, lazy feeling and day to enjoy your recipes different from the regular ones while lying back. So, what are you serving for the brunch today? It is definitely going to be a family favorite recipe. Make this Sunday brunch special for everyone with some healthy vegetable sandwiches. And what’s healthier than vegetables, meat, and fruits. Ah, got confused how all of these will go together? Hmm, it’s not like cooking all the things together but it is like having a taste of all in one go. Ingredients for Vegetable Sandwich

  • 1 packet white/brown/multi-grain bread
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • few lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup of canned mushrooms
  • black pepper powder
  • salt
  • mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Cut the bread diagonally and spread mayonnaise on the bread pieces evenly. Use mayonnaise according to your taste as the market has a variety of mayonnaise such as sweet mayonnaise, sour mayonnaise, eggless mayonnaise and salted mayonnaise.
  2. Now, place the fresh lettuce leaves on the bread and add another layer of mayonnaise on it. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  3. Now, place the onion rings and sliced tomatoes on it. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  4. Now, again place a leaf of fresh lettuce and canned mushroom on the top. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  5. Place the bread slice that also has the mayonnaise spread on the top and your vegetable sandwich is all set to bite in. You can add any vegetable of your choices such as bell pepper, corns, roasted zucchini, potatoes and many others.

Tip: Add black pepper powder and salt wisely as it will be added to each layer. 

Ingredients for Chicken Sandwich

  • 1 packet white/brown/multigrain bread
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 1 onion
  • few lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup shredded chicken
  • black pepper powder
  • salt

Directions

  • Cut the bread diagonally and spread the spicy barbeque sauce on the bread pieces evenly. You can also use tandoori sauce, chicken tikka sauce as per your taste.
  • Now, place the fresh lettuce leaves on the bread and add another layer of barbeque sauce on it. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  • Now, place the shredded chicken pieces and onion rings on it. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  • Now, again place a leaf of fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes on the top. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt.
  • Place the shredded chicken on it and sprinkle some black pepper and salt on it.
  • Your chicken sandwich is all set to dig in. Add any meat you like such as chicken breast, lamb pieces, eggs.

Tip: Toast the bread pieces in a non-stick pan before using. Do not use the pop-up toaster as it makes the bread hard and difficult to manage all the ingredients. 

Ingredients for Fruit Sandwich

  • 1 packet white/brown/multigrain bread
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1 orange
  • 1 guava
  • 1 dragon fruit
  • chocolate spread
  • salt

Directions

  • Cut the bread diagonally and spread the chocolate spread on the bread pieces evenly. You can use any chocolate spread as per the choice such as cocoa chocolate spread, almond chocolate spread, peanut flavored chocolate spread and many. All these are easily available in the market.
  • Now, place a few slices of apple, on it place a few sliced pear and sprinkle some salt on it.
  • Now, place the sliced guava and sliced dragon fruit on it and drizzle some chocolate spread too.
  • Place the bread piece that also has chocolate spread coating on the fruits and Here it is, your fruit sandwich is all set to bite in.
  • Place the sandwich on a plate and place the oranges on a side. Sprinkle some salt on the oranges as it will balance the sweet taste of fruits and the chocolate spread. Add sliced grapes, pineapple pieces, pomegranate spread and much more as per your choice.

Tip: Toast the bread pieces in a non-stick pan before using. Do not use the pop-up toaster as it makes the bread hard and difficult to manage all the ingredients.
