Ingredients
- 300 gms of Paneer/Cottage cheese
- 1 tablepoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- salt to salt or approx 1/2 teaspoon
- 4-5 Spring Onion
- 1 Capsicum
- 1 Onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Corn Flour
- 2 tablespoon refined oil
- water
- soy sauce
- vinegar
- schezwan sauce
- Sesame seeds
Directions
Step1
Cut paneer into cubes and keep them on high flame for not than a minute. This can also be done in microwave. This process will make paneer completely dry and rest the paneer in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Now, remove paneer in a plat and add 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, 1/4 tablespoon of black pepper and salt. Mix all the ingredients well. Now, keep the coated paneer in refrigerator for one hour.
Step 3
Now, chop onion and capsicum in cubes and also chop ginger-garlic.
Step 4
Chilly paneer is a fried dish hence it needs more coating that will add flavor and crispyness to the dish.
Step 5
For coating, add 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, 1/4 cup of corn flour, salt according to taste and 2 tablespoon of refined oil in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well and add 300 ml of water to the bowl. Whisk the batter until no lumps are left in the bowl.
Step 6
Now, dip all the cubes of coated paneer in the batter and fry them for 2-3 minutes on each side. Make, sure that oil is on high temperature. Remove them on an absorbent paper.
Step 7
Add half cup of water in a bowl.Now, add 1/2 tablespoon of corn flour to it. Mix it well. Now, that the fried paneer have cool down a bit, its time to fry them again. This time, keep the flame on medium heat for frying. Fry the cottage cheese for 4-5 minutes, until they turn golden brown.
Step 8
Heat 2 tablespoon of refined oil in a wok. Now, add chopped ginger-garlic, diced capsicum and onions. Stir them all for 3-4 times. Now, add 1 tablespoon of schezwan sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar to the wok.
Step 9
After 5 minutes, add the corn flour mix into the wok, stir the mix until the sauce thicken. Now, add fried paneer to the wok and give a final stir. Remember, switch off the flame before adding cottage cheese to the wok. This will keep the coated cheese crisp.
Step 10
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with chopped spring onion and sesame seeds.
