Okra Fry is a simple vegan recipe which is crispy and crunchy outside but soft and tender inside and the flavour is just amazing. Making okra fry is just as simple as the simple ingredients used in it. First, it is battered and then fried to perfect golden brown in colour sprinkle with little salt and serve. A vegan recipe for a vegan lover with a heat of spices and with little oil fat.
Ingredients:-
One And A Half cups – Fresh Okra(sliced)
Oil As Required For Frying
One Teaspoon – Apple Cider Vinegar
One-Fourth Cup – Unsweetened Soy Milk
Three Tablespoons – Cornmeal And Flour
One-Fourth Teaspoon – Cayenne Powder And Garlic Powder
Salt As Required
A Few Grinds Of Pepper
Directions:-
First, heat about a half inch of oil in a small frying pan over medium heat.
Put the apple cider vinegar into a measuring cup and add soy milk to make one-fourth cup. Transfer to a bowl.
In a separate bowl combine the cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, cayenne, salt as required and pepper.
Check the oil by dipping a wooden stick in it, if the oil bubbles up around it, it’s hot enough for frying.
Make small batches and dip some okra first into the apple cider vinegar and soy milk mixture, then transfer a few pieces at a time to the flour mixture and roll to cover.
Fry, turning as necessary until golden brown on all sides. Transfer to a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.
Sprinkle some salt over hot okra fry and serve.
