Spinach Pea Curry is a flavorful vegan side dish prepared with tomato sauce and Indian spices along with tamarind pulp. This dish is a healthy combination of green vegetables like peas and spinach, adding spices make this dish more delicious. It can be served best with steamed rice or any flatbread or parathas. Ingredients For Spinach Pea Curry:-
Three Tablespoons – Vegetable Oil
One-Fourth Teaspoon – Cumin Seeds, Chili Powder, Garam Masala
Half Cup – Tomato Puree
Four Cups – Fresh Spinach
Two Teaspoons – Coriander Powder
A Pinch Of Turmeric Powder
Salt As Required
One Teaspoon – Tamarind Paste
One Cup – Green Peas
Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat and the cumin seeds.
Allow the cumin seeds to pop for a minute.
After the cumin seeds have popped, reduce the heat to medium, then add the tomato puree, stirring to combine well.
Next, Add the spinach and heat until spinach has well wilted, about ten to fifteen minutes.
When the spinach has wilted, add the remaining spice- the coriander powder, chili powder, garam masala, salt, and tamarind paste.
Stir well to combine.
Once the spices are well combined, add the green peas and cook for five minutes or just until heated through.
Stirring as needed.
Serve your Spinach and pea hot with plain steamed rice or naan.
