Tofu And Veggie Stir Fry – One Pot Recipe

One pot tofu and veggie stir fry recipe is totally vegan, high in protein, rich in flavours, full of spices and give a satisfying taste. As the recipe contains lots of vegetables, crispy tofu, and hot sauce.

Ingredients For Tofu And Veggie Stir Fry:-

  • 175 Grams – Rice noodles
  • One Teaspoon – Lime Juice
  • Half Teaspoon – Toasted Sesame Oil
  • One-Fourth Teaspoon – Red Pepper Flakes
  • One Teaspoon – Cooking Oil
  • 400 Grams – Tofu(firm)
  • Two Teaspoons – Sesame Oil
  • Half Large – Red Bell Pepper(thinly sliced)
  • One Large – Green Bell Pepper(thinly sliced)
  • One – Jalapeno Pepper
  • Half Cup – Carrots(sliced)
  • One Cup – Veggies Of Your Choice
  • Five Cloves – Garlic(finely chopped)
  • One Tablespoon – Ginger(minced)
  • One-Third Cup – Soy Sauce
  • One-Fourth Cup – Maple Syrup
  • Three Teaspoons – Rice Vinegar
  • Three Teaspoons – Hot Sauce
  • One Tablespoon – Orange Juice
  • A Dash Of Black Pepper
  • One-Fourth Teaspoon – Salt
  • One Tablespoon – Cornstarch
  • Half Cup – Water
  • Coriander Leaves For Garnish
  • One Tablespoon – Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • Pepper Flakes As Needed

Directions:-

  1. Prepare the rice noodles as instructions given on the package. Rinse in cold water and transfer to a bowl.
  2. Add a dash of lemon juice, pepper flakes and half teaspoon sesame oil and toss. Divide into two to three serving bowls.
  3. Wrap the tofu in paper towel and then a kitchen towel. Place a heavy book on it for five minutes. Unwrap and cube the tofu into small cubes.
  4. Heat one teaspoon oil in a pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the cubed tofu and cook for five to seven minutes until golden on some sides. transfer to a bowl.
  5. Add sesame oil, peppers, jalapeno, and other veggies. Cook for three to four minutes.
  6. Now add garlic and ginger and cook for three minutes. Stir occasionally.
  7. Time to add the sauce ingredients, salt and mix. Add the crisped tofu and bring the mixture to a good rolling boil for about three to four minutes.
  8. Mix cornstarch with water in a bowl to make a slurry. Add cornstarch slurry and continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
  9. Taste and adjust the heat and sweet. Add some sugar or cayenne if needed.
  10. Divide into the serving bowls.
  11. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, pepper flakes, and coriander leaves.
